Our next lake stop was Clear Lake also in northern Indiana. Here we visited Joyce's cousin Linda and her family. Above, Joe, Linda, Terry, Joyce, Brian and Kim enjoy snacks on lake front deck.
Joe and Linda took Dave & Joyce to a fascinating place called Old Mill Shoppes and Art Gallery. The art and antiques were nice, but the buildings were over the top. They were all moved from a small community on skids, over the fields, placed here and refurbished ... words and pictures cannot describe how fantastic the structures are. If you ever get to Fremont, Indiana look it up .... you won't be disappointed.
Joe, Linda, Gary, Terry and Joyce ... continue reminiscing the "good ole days" ... with Brian and Gary telling stories when they visited us on the farm ... our son Keith did what? .... kittens in the swimming pool?
Dorian and Rick (Joe's daughter and son-in-law) keeping out of the line of fire, enjoying the deck swing. They have a beautiful summer home on the lake next to Linda and Joe's home.
Editorial note: as you can see by the pictures they have not escaped the drought either.
It is "lets visit all of our lake friends" week. The first stop we visited Daryl and Janet Branneman at their beautiful home on Lake Webster (northern Indiana). We stayed a couple of days and had a great time. Dave & Daryl golfed while the gals shopped ... nothing new with that! Above Joyce and Janet sit at the far end of the dock.
Lower right is a separate cottage behind their home, "The Love Shack" ... and no, Dave and Joyce did not stay there. Below the Love Shack is storage and Daryl's workshop.
Above Joyce, Janet and Daryl on upper deck of lakeside home. The original front had a few steps down from the house to the lake. The Brannemans really made major changes to the home especially the lakeside front ... real nice with all new poured concrete patios and decks!
